The success or failure of the country in International affairs is determined by Its power. Countries mainly exercise 2 kinds of power In International level. i.e Soft power And Hard power. The Power Itself is determined by many factors like “ military, economy, wealth, resources, geographical position, Influence etc.” After World War 2 United states and Soviet Union emerged as power countries and their fierce competition to out power each other is known as “ The Cold War.” The collapse of Soviet Union On 26th December 1991 made USA an absolute powerful nation In the world. Nicknamed as “The Big Brother” US enjoyed the Undisputed power without any competition Until the end of the last decade. US still has Immense Influence in European Region and NATO is its indication of power. Although US is still the powerful nation on earth, Its power is no more undisputed. The emergence of developing nations such as India and China is showing Its impact in world politics. The recent incidents like Taliban takeover, Ukraine War Indicates that day by day United States is losing its power In International affairs.
The political system of the particular country plays important Role in International affairs. The authoritarian countries are more likely to become closer towards their Aristocratic counterparts while Democratic nations will develop good relation with another liberal state. But this isn’t an absolute factor. Indian philosopher “Chanakya” says
“There is some self interest behind every friendship. There is no friendship without self interests.This is a bitter truth”
Self Interest is absolute factor in International relations. These self interests are achieved through diplomacy. The “Embassy” carries the diplomatic related works which plays huge role in strategy. Embassy is the official residence or offices of an ambassador.{ Any kinds of attacks on the embassy means declaring war}. The policy towards other nations are determined by the government.
